Terms of Service

Agreement and scope

These terms apply to the Roosevelt High School student information portal, connected Roblox campus, and Discord bot. By using any part of the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must satisfy the age and account requirements of every platform you use. Roblox OAuth authorization requires a 13+ Roblox account. Discord users must meet Discord’s minimum age for their country. If parental or guardian permission is required where you live, you must have that permission before using the service.

You are responsible for your Roblox and Discord accounts and for activity performed through them. Do not share passwords, OAuth codes, API keys, or session links. Tell a Roosevelt System Administrator if you believe your account or SIS identity has been used without permission.

School records and responsibilities

The SIS maintains student and staff profiles, student IDs, grades, attendance, schedules, fees, and disciplinary records. Students, guardians, and staff must use the school identity assigned to them and provide accurate information for that profile. Request corrections through the appropriate school office.

Enter only information assigned or approved for school records. Personal account passwords, government identification numbers, payment card details, and unrelated private information must not be submitted. Confidential records may be accessed only by personnel authorized to handle them.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

• harass, threaten, exploit, or expose another person;
• enter unauthorized private information into school records;
• impersonate a real person or falsely claim authority;
• access records or features you are not authorized to use;
• exploit, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, automate abuse, evade rate limits, or interfere with security controls;
• upload malware, illegal content, stolen content, or material that violates Roblox or Discord rules; or
• collect, publish, or use another user’s information outside the assigned school duties or approved school activities.

Staff permissions must be used only for assigned school duties. Accessing a record out of curiosity is not an authorized purpose.

Roles, records, and administrative action

Access is based on Roblox group membership, group role, approved guardian links, class or group assignments, and SIS permissions. Group-role changes, withdrawals, inactivity rules, and administrative decisions may change what you can see or do.

Authorized staff may create, correct, archive, restore, approve, or publish school records. System Administrators may view the portal as another user for support and testing. The system records important actions and the initiating administrator. Do not use a role or impersonation feature to misrepresent a real person or evade accountability.

Automated processes may synchronize Roblox group rosters, Discord membership, classes, attendance-based roster status, notifications, and published schedules. Administrators may review or override these results within their assigned permissions.

Your content

You keep any rights you have in original content you submit. You give us permission to store, display, format, transmit, archive, and back up that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve school services.

You must have permission to submit the content. We may remove or restrict content that violates these terms, platform rules, another person’s rights, or the safety of the community.

Discord notifications

Linking through Bloxlink allows the bot to associate a Discord account with a Roblox account and send SIS notices. Attendance messages can be changed with /notifications. Discipline and urgent school notices may remain enabled while the identity is linked.

Bot messages may be delayed, duplicated, or undeliverable because of platform limits, privacy settings, outages, or incorrect account links. The portal remains the source for the current school record. Contact school staff directly when a matter requires immediate attention.

Third-party services

Roblox, Discord, Bloxlink, and the school's hosting and data service providers support school services. Their own terms and policies also apply to their products. We are not responsible for their accounts, availability, moderation, security decisions, or changes to their services.

You must also follow the Roblox Terms of Use, Discord Terms of Service, and Bloxlink Terms of Servicewhen you use those services.

Availability and changes

We may add, change, pause, or remove features; correct or archive records; and perform maintenance. We may also limit access to protect accounts, data, or service stability. We do not promise uninterrupted access, perfect delivery, or error-free records.

Back up any original content you need outside the service. Do not use the SIS as the only copy of important information.

Enforcement and termination

We may restrict, suspend, or end access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, comply with platform rules or law, respond to a security problem, or protect users and the service. School discipline does not automatically mean platform account termination, though the same conduct may lead to both.

You may stop using the service at any time. Leaving the Roblox group may withdraw your active SIS profile and remove you from rosters. Leaving Discord stops server membership, but archived records may be retained as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Updates and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continuing to use the service after an update means the updated terms apply from their effective date.
